Sentimental-asshole: The Wedding

Hello world.

Long time no see, eh? (or long time no read? dunia maya gitu loooh? :P)
It has been too long since my last update. Setelah proyek Dunia Lain: The Movie selesai, ternyata banyak yang udah nunggu; program2 reguler, pindahan kantor (ruangan sub-dept gue pindah ke lt 7), yg berakibat pada nggak ada koneksi internet whatsoever sampe sekarang (gue sekarang ini ngenet dari ruangan Transinema di lt. 1), dan yang terpenting adalah... nikahan gue.

Yup, sabtu ini gue getting married. Begitu kelar film, gue baru nyadar kalo waktu persiapan tinggal 1 bulan. Walhasil, tunggang langgang dengan sukses. Termasuk keuangannya juga :P. Tapi alhamdulillah, semua bisa cukup teratasi. Tinggal sekarang, menunggu harinya tiba...

Makanya, (lagi-lagi) gue bakalan lama lagi posting nih. Basi ya?
Tapi sekarang mudah-mudahan gak lama deh. Susah juga hidup tanpa internet hari gini.

Jadi... gue dan calon istri, mo minta doa restunya aja. Moga-moga kami berdua bisa menjadi keluarga yg sakinah, mawadah, dan rahmah. Amin.

Buat yg mo (& bisa) datang, hubungi aja japri ya... gak enak kalo dipampangin di sini sih ;)

Debts: The Movie

Lagi-lagi jarang update. Yah, musuh pertama gue skrg adalah rasa malas. Malas yg makin sering datang, terutama kalo pikiran udh beredar ke mana-mana. Well, I'm taking counter measures for it, for now. Here I am, writing some more nonsense again :)

Gue banyak berpikir tentang karir gue belakangan ini, & berpikir utk menggantinya dengan... ya dengan yg lebih cocok. Agak fatal sebenarnya, mengingat ini sudah masuk tahun kedua gue di posisi gue sekarang. Well, a man gotta try in order to succeed. If one should failed, it's a knowledge. Dalam pencarian, datanglah tugas itu ke gue: gue diikutin utk bikin FILM. Bukan, bukan film yg dijual asongan di kebun binatang; Film layar lebar; a freakin' movie.

Jadi inget lagi. Salah satu faktor yg bikin gue pengen masuk ke tmpt kerja gue skrg adalah: ikut terlibat dlm pembuatan film layar lebar. In so much different role, of course. Niat gue waktu itu sih pgn jd editor. Jadinya malah ke art-property :j. This movie, btw, not exactly the kind of movie I'd like to be involved in. But, well, a movie still a movie anyway. I am hired as professional, so it's my job to do it, with excellence. When I think of it, mungkin ini satu2nya 'hutang' gue ke diri sendiri yg blm terbayar...

Syuting film ini (menurut jadwal sementara ini) dimulai awal Maret ini, +/- sebulan lah. Jadi gue bakalan lebih lama ga update blog ini (emang biasanya rajin?? :P) Ya begitulah... Doakan saya ya! (dgn mata menyipit & mengacungkan dua jari) (^_^)V

The Anniversary: Part I

15/12/2004, that was the anniversary day of this tv station where I am working. It was the second time I involved in this kind of ceremony. The mission is simple: To celebrate with massive BANG! This year, we didn't use the indoor-outdoor thingy and stick to the old way: The great indoors. (Yeah, it's musim hujan gitu lhoo!) Just a venue, with an uprised stage, and a huge, concert-like -kinda-snakepity-main set. Its big alright. This time the props team didn't have to prepare tons of props for the event(Last year we have to prepare, say... a houseful of it?). Keep it simple, with good contents, that's the way we (should) do it. Nevertheless, this job was kinda full of functions to execute. Let's see...

The gardener+decorator
Mission: to set up a "pos ronda", complete with the things in and out: kentongan, lots of plants, a phone booth, a motorbike(from the sponsor), etc.
Time of execution: a night before D-Day.
Personnels: 3 men (me+2 other guys)

The prop master
Mission: to handle & drop properties needed to point of objective, also prepare them for the execution.
Time of execution: D-Day, -12 of H-Hour.
Personnels: 3 men + 1 woman, 1 man + 1 woman as logistics support.

The procurement officer
Mission: to purchase anything which was not supplied by the warehouse.Time of execution: -4 of H-Hour.
Personnels: 3 men (What?!) -actualy just one, the other 2 just tagging along :P-

The props person
Mission: to deploy any props according the rundown script (It's time 2 rock 'n roll!)
Time of execution: H-hour, during all of the operation.
Personnel: 5 men+women

The artillery detachment
Mission: To deploy ceiling convetty, shoot the stage with convetty guns, and bombard the audience with ballons.
Time of execution: H-hour +4, closing time.
Personnel: 1 ceiling convetty commander, 3 convetty gunmen, 1 ballon bomber-commander
Motto of the detachment: We proud of what we shot!

Status: mission accomplished.

Well, at least everything went fine until we realised that we have to brought a truckfull of props back to the office...
